Woo-hoo! Summer is just about here! If you want to cool off with a super-fun day at a water park, you don’t need to leave town: you can enjoy one of our many great water parks right in our area. We have many — in fact, 10 outdoor ones (plus indoor water parks, and pools and spray grounds or splash fountains) — all right here in Northern Virginia.
These outdoor Northern Virginia Water Parks are open in the summer only, usually from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. All have water slides, spray flumes, and tot areas. Some have large slides, lazy rivers, and water obstacle courses. We just updated our list of the 10 seasonal NOVA water parks: Water Mine (Reston), Atlantis (Centreville), Pirate’s Cove (Lorton),Great Waves (Alexandria), Ocean Dunes (Arlington), Volcano Island (Sterling), Signal Bay (Manassas Park), Splash Down (Manassas), Water Works (Dale City), and AV Symington Aquatic Center (Leesburg).
We just updated our list of area water parks, which have descriptions on what each offer in terms of water features, theme or decor, and amenities. Take a look and get ready to have a splashin’ fun summer!
