Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band Preview & Giveaway!

With 33 shows by more than 20 acts, Wolf Trap has a full calendar of fun kid-friendly shows through its Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods summer program. We recently wrote about this series, a family tradition in our area, and how much fun this can be for families, especially with those who have kids ages 4 and up (be sure to see our review of a recent show!).

We are happy now to present another chance for one more family to attend an upcoming performance:  our second Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods giveaway is for four tickets to see Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band on Thursday, July 10, at 10:30 am!  This highly acclaimed band has been called “THE face of kindie music” by The Washington Post!

Leading the band are Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis, a husband-and-wife team whose indie sounds, whimsy, and catchy lyrics have earned them such accolades as “The Rolling Stones of Kids’ Music” by the Style Network, and “#1 in coolest kids’ music” by People Magazine. They are the very first Americans to ever win a Latin Grammy in the children’s album category (for ¡Fantastico!, their Spanish-language album), and had previously earned a Parents’ Choice Gold Award and a NAPPA Award for A Potluck in 2012.  In 2013, the band released Lishy Lou and Lucky Too, which contains the smash hit “Thingamajig,” and their song “Falling” was featured in a Coca-Cola commercial.
