With fun outdoor and indoor options for kids of all ages, Leesburg Animal Park offers year-round fun. Outside, guests of all ages will enjoy meeting a good variety of animals, including barnyard and exotic ones, and there is even an area where you can walk among them to get up close to feed and pet them. Inside, you’ll find more animals on display and large play areas: there’s a spacious “discovery room” for tots with activities and crafts for learning about farms and wildlife creatures, and a playroom with a huge three-floor climbing and jumping structure and floor games. Leesburg Animal Park also has a self-serve snack shop with treats and hot food items and a nice indoor gift shop and outdoor farm market.
Animals take center stage here, with more than two dozen types of creatures. Although Leesburg Animal Park sits on 21 acres, most animals are concentrated in specific areas so you can see just about everything without having to go too far. Indoors, you fill find lemurs; a sloth, and snakes, iguanas, and other reptiles. Outdoors, wild and barnyard animals include cows, goats, sheep, lambs, pigs, horses, deer, llamas, donkeys, chickens, giant turtles, porcupines, zebras, camels, gibbons, serval cats, bunnies, ducks, and more.
During early autumn, Leesburg Animal Park adds the “Pumpkin Village,” an outdoor fall festival (included in the park admission) that more than doubles the activities you can enjoy. There, you will find hayrides, several moon bounces, two kids’ zip lines, giant hill slides, obstacle courses, lawn games, a pumpkin playhouse village, pedal carts, pony rides, and, on weekends, live entertainment and camel rides.
See for yourself below all the fun you can have! The photos included here are from a couple of visits we made to Leesburg Animal Park during the Pumpkin Village days in October 2015.
