Boostravaganza
This annual evening Halloween program, 6-8 pm, features carnival-style Halloween games indoors in the arena where horse shows normally take place. Guests also get wagon rides, treat bags, and a small take home-pumpkin. The event is geared to children up to age nine, and based on our earlier visits, we think it’s best for the younger set. Admission is $10 per child.
Thursday through Sunday, October 15-18

Farm Harvest Days
This free event showcases farm activities and lets kids get in on the fun: they can shell corn, peel apples, or milk a goat or a cow. Guests can visit farm animals including pigs, horses, and turkeys, and see traditional farm demonstrations such as blacksmithing. Farm Harvest Days also are the only time of the year that the park runs the cider press, so you’ll get to see it in action (no samples, though — the equipment is too old so they run the cider press just for show, not for treats). Additional activities include wagon rides around the farm ($3 per person) and carnival rides.
