Easter and Spring Events 2018
It’s time for Easter and spring! As always, there are plenty of fun, family-friendly activities in Fairfax County and Northern Virginia: egg hunts, Easter egg rolls, Easter Bunny visits and photos, outdoor festivals, parades, and more. We present these in our annual list below. Please remember that we list basic information that is current to the best of our knowledge. You should always confirm details with the event organizers. Eggs-treme Night Teen Egg Hunt
The City of Fairfax hosts its annual evening egg hunt, 8 pm at Historic Blenheim. Enjoy a family evening searching for eggs and prizes in the dark (bring a flashlight and a basket!). You also can visit the Easter Bunny beginning and test your agility on an obstacle course. The fee is $5 per child and pre-registration is required. The event is for children ages 10-14.

Lee-Fendall House Easter Egg Hunt
All children of elementary school age or younger (children aged 0-12) are eligible to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. Older children and adults are welcome to enjoy all our other activities. Tickets are $12 for kids and $5 for adults, and reservations are strongly encouraged.

Town of Herndon Easter Egg Hunt
Annual hunt on the Town Green in downtown Herndon at the Municipal Building with the Easter Bunny, games, and crafts. Children are invited to bring their parents, cameras, baskets and egg-hunting shoes for a fun-filled morning in the park. Games, arts and crafts, and music will begin at 9:30 am, along with a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Registration is $9 and is available online, or $10 onsite the day of the event (cash or check only).

City of Fairfax Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Combined Properties Easter Egg Hunt is a free community event! From 10 am to noon, enjoy egg hunts and family fun at Van Dyck Park; there will be food available for sale. Egg hunts (at different times, by age group) for kids 2-10 start at 10:45 am.

Nottoway Park Easter Egg Hunt
It’s time for Nottoway Park’s annual Egg Hunt! Kids age 1-9 will hunt for candy and eggs filled with treats, win door prizes and greet the Easter bunny. Walk-in registration: 9:30-11:45 a.m. in the picnic shelter. Tickets are $10 per child (cash only). Proceeds donated to Nottoway Park improvements. Egg Hunt Schedule: 1-2 years 10:30 am, 3-4 years 11:00 am, 5-6 years 11:30 am, 7-9 years 12:00 pm. In case of inclement weather, a decision will be made by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event; call 703-324-8569 for information and weather status.

Whitehall Farm Easter Eco Egg Hunt
Whitehall Farm hosts its first annual Easter Eco Egg Hunt! The fun (10:30 am to 2 pm) includes an egg hunt for candy filled compostable Easter eggs, hidden prize eggs, bunny hop races, egg ‘n spoon races, wagon rides, and meet and greet with the animals, including the baby pigs. Tickets are $15 per child and $7.50 per adult, plus online ticketing fees.

Falls Church Easter Egg Hunt at Cherry Hill Park
The City of Falls Church hosts its big annual egg hunt at Cherry Hill Park. Children are invited to hunt for candy and special eggs in the park and have their photo taken with a special guest, the Easter Bunny! Please bring a basket for the hunt at 10 am; rain date is Monday, April 2, at 4 pm.

Egg Hunt at Clemijontry Park
Come out for kid-friendly Easter fun including egg hunts, crafts, photo ops with the Easter Bunny and more at Clemyjontri Park. Egg hunts are split by age and run every thirty minutes. Preregistration required ($7 per person, $9 for non-Fairfax County residents). Carousel rides available for $2/child. Visit with the Easter Bunny before or after your hunt. The rain date Saturday, April 7 at the same times. Register online as soon as possible, as many spots are already full.

South Riding Spring Fling
South Riding families and friends can enjoy pictures with the Easter Bunny and take part in an “Eggciting” Maze Challenge. It includes an egg roll where kids maneuver an egg through the maze with a spoon to win a prize! The free event takes place from 10 am to noon.

Rippon Lodge Easter Egg Hunt
Eggs have been hidden among the trees, bushes, and vines at Rippon Lodge, and we need your help to find them! Along with the search for eggs, crafts, games, and tours of the historic house make this a day the whole family can enjoy. Egg hunts are at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, and 2:30 pm, and will be separated by age groups. Bring your own baskets and picnic lunch! Tours of the historic house take place on the hour.

McLean Spring Fest
Spring Fest is a special event for kids ages 3-8 that includes self-guided arts and crafts projects, entertainment, and the opportunity for your children to get a professional photo with the Bunny. Remember to bring your Easter basket for our Parent/Child Easter Egg Hunt (10 egg limit). Please register early, as space is limited. (Note: the event this year is hosted at St. Luke’s School, 7005 Georgetown Pike.)

Easter Egg Hunt at Leesburg Animal Park
Hunt for thousands of toy and candy-filled eggs at our 19th annual Easter Egg Hunts! Ted Garber will be playing at 12:30pm at the stage, and there will be local barbecue available for lunch. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 1pm for photos. Arrive by 1:45 pm to break up into age groups, review rules, and begin the hunt promptly at 2 pm. Age groups are 2-3, 4-7, 8-11. No coupons or complimentary passes. Please arrive early as there are lines to get in before the hunt starts, and lots to explore at this 21-acre zoo with indoor and outdoor exhibits, plus a fun play room.

Your admission to the farm, which includes a bouncing pillow, giant slides, farm animals to visit, tractor rides, and dozens of other attractions, also includes special activities such as real baby bunnies, face painting, and Easter egg hunts at 11 am and 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the spring festival; $14.95 per child and $12.95 per adult. Easter egg hunts are also offered April 7-8, 2018.

Roer’s Zoofari Easter EggStravaganza
Roer’s Zoofari hosts Easter fun with Easter egg hunts plus animal encounters, an open-air “safari” ride through the zoo, and a parakeet adventure. Admission is $20 per person and includes a cup of animal feed.
