Kids grow up. Sad, but true. With the upcoming ninth birthday of our oldest, we have been reminiscing the younger years. Last night we went to Disney on Ice Presents Celebrate Memories!, and it was so fitting. Throughout the entire show, every song that played my husband and I looked at each other with smiles and instantly remembered a moment in time. From Moana’s “How Far I’ll Go” to Frozen’s “Do You Want To Build A Snowman,” both of my girls were singing their hearts out. While I was worried that they may be getting too old for a Disney on Ice show, I was quickly proven wrong. They were engaged the entire time!
The audience goes on a journey with Mickey and the team through various Disney moments while he tries to decide which memory is his favorite. Starting with a very touching Mouseketeer dance while an image of Walk Disney and Mickey Mouse appeared, the show continued on to scenes from Toy Story, Finding Dory, perfectly executed dances from the Disney Princesses, and mouth-dropping acrobatics. While the dancing some of the audience favorites such as Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, and Elsa performed was beautiful, my absolute favorite was Moana. The visuals and colors of the performance was perfection!
Mickey concludes the show by picking his favorite memory: TODAY. The entire show my husband and I were reminiscing the younger years, but Mickey is absolutely right, we all should celebrate TODAY. The entire show was spectacular and is a definite must see on this long weekend.
