City of Fairfax Earth Day Event, Saturday, April 22, 2017
Celebrate Earth Day! You can help clean up Daniels Run Trail, creating bird feeders from recyclable products, learning about waste reduction and recycling from the City’s Environmental Sustainability Group, and more! Parents or guardians are required to attend with kids. This event is FREE and all ages are welcome! Parking is available at Daniels Run Elementary School (3705 Old Lee Hwy).
LiveWell Festival in Manassas, Saturday, April 22, 2017
Celebrate spring with a day dedicated to health and fitness! Head over to the Harris Pavilion for free health screenings, fitness classes, kid activities, entertainment, and more. Recycle those gently used household items or clothes to a worthy cause, visit with the recycling and environmental exhibitors, and help the kids make earth friendly art projects. The day includes exhibitors from non-profit and civic organizations providing recycling and environmental information. A number of artists from the Banner Art project will also be set up displaying and selling original artwork! The event is from 9 am to 2 pm.There also will be a shredding truck, Farm to Table Brunch, paint class, and more. General admission is free.

The inaugural Live Well Loudoun Festival promotes healthy eating, exercising, and living green. It features Loudoun businesses with health and fitness activities, music, food, art, a beer and wine garden, prizes, and more. Admission is free.

Earth Day Celebration at Tysons Corner, Saturday, April 22, 2017
Head to Tysons Corner Center in Fashion Court on Saturday, to celebrate Earth Day in style! Observe Art Whino’s featured artist, James Walker, as he paints a live Earth Day inspired Canvas while a DJ plays music. Learn about local organizations that make the DMV a healthier, happier, and more environmentally conscious place for us all to live, play and shop. The event is from 11:30 am to 3 pm and admission is free.
Ride the Drive at Shenandoah Park, Sunday, April 23, 2017
As part of National Park Week, on April 23, National ParkRx Day, Shenandoah National Park will close off part of Skyline Drive to non-motorized vehicles only. Skyline Drive will be closed to motorized vehicles from the Front Royal Entrance Station to the Thornton Gap Entrance Station, for more than 30 miles. Registration is required.
