The latest addition to the many great summer resources that are family-friendly — and free! — in our area is now at the air and space museum in Fairfax County. The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, the Smithsonian Institution’s Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia, plans to host at least 10 outdoor movies this summer.
The community can enjoy a “family movie night” under the stars while watching a movie (rated PG or G) on the Udvar-Hazy Center’s outdoor airplane ramp. Doors open at 8:00 pm and the movie will start around 9:00 pm. The Reels on the Ramp outdoor movie series takes place most Saturdays from June 23 to August 25, 2018. Dates are subject to change due to inclement weather, special events, or other issues. To make the most of you visit, bring chairs, blankets, insect repellant, and books or other activities to keep kids busy while you wait for the movie to start.
